Snipes Designer - Hannah

Over the past few weeks I have been planning what each character needs to wear and what prop each charater needs to have. I have given every actor this information on a sheet of paper so they know what to bring when we go to Surrey.
We have also done a few reherseals so we are not clueless when we arrive in surrey and are prepared for any problems.
Today we have been getting our final things together such as calls lists, scripts and so on, put it into a folder so all our information is in one place.

SNIPES ARE READY TO SHOOT!

Justification of snips

Snips story involves criminality but during his experience in the film he learns the error of his ways. the film we do not show any drug usage or fatal violence instead we just hint at the aspect.
i had to explain why the script will be withing the OFCOM regulations so we had to dull down the criminal activity e.g drug usage and violence so not to offend or promote.

This was the last production day. We have made our folders and also stored out everything for surry. We have also amended the equipment list and prop list. We are ready for surry!

swindle - neal

Today, is the final day for our preparation before we break up for easter break. As soon as we get back from the Easter holidays, we will be heading to Surrey. As the sound man, i have been making final preparations on the equipment list, i was sorting out what i need in the sound department, the camera man sorted out  his and finally the lighting sorted out his. Once all the equipment was ready to deliver to TJ, we had to do a final check with the director and the producer. The reason why we sent the equipment to TJ is because him and Vinny can get all the equipment ready during the Easter holiday or today. All the other members of Swindle are sorting out the folder that we have to hand in to Rob by the end of the lesson. There are a lot of pages that are being printed off, as the producer have to give each of us a script, call sheet, production schedule, what we need in the scene.

Personally at the moment, i am feeling excited for this production and at the same time i am also nervous, because i will be doing the sound, which is one of the main important roles in the production. If there wasnt a movie without sound then there is no point in watching the movie, it wouldnt feel right.

These last few days have been planning the production of snips as a group we gave a presentation  powerpoint explaining our what our individual jobs rolls will be doing in surry,i thought it went well

Final Day Preperation - Swindle, JESSY NAMIKI

Today Swindle have been doing the final day preparations. The Cameraman, Sound guy and gaffer (Lighting Tecnician) have all writen down the required equipments onto a list; soon after thats complete we sent our information to the Media Technician TJ. The reason why we sent our information to Tj is because we want to be fully prepared and organised. The intensity is high at the moment everyone is working together and communicating well with eachother. Personally Im feeling quite excited but at the same time nervous since I get home sick when im away from home. One major aspect from this experience would be benefiting from working under pressure and as a team. Communication and Listening skills will be a key to our success.

I asked Kai and Neil what equipment they needed for sound and for the lighting i then put the equipment along with what i needed to then make the equipment list. The vibe in the room is very positive today and everyone is getting on with the work and looking forward to making snipes.

Snipes - Neil

Today, we are slowly putting together the final pieces of the pre-production process. We need to complete the equipment list, copies of the script and the call sheets. Today we are making sure that everyone in the group knows their roles, and how to fully operate the equipment that they will be using.

06 march Harlan Foster AD

My day .

Today me and my production team worked hard on the fine details. As it comes closer to the day of filming all the small fine details must be filled in. A little cinimatogrophy, and final shot sequences. We also rehearsed film all the way through, narator and all. We finalised are costume choices and what we would al wear in each sighn. Also as we are using a mixer we had to make sure everything was compatibe and worked correctly. -harlan

Pre Production SWINDLE- Light Technician (Jessy Namiki)

Tuesday 6th March 2012

Today I researched some information about the Lights that I will be using In Surrey that is Flolights, Arilights and Pag Lights. The information I got about Arilights are 300 Watts which reach up to 200 degrees so I'll have to be  careful and wear gloves. In addition I used the 7D cameras and went through the Swindle script with my group.

Swindle Sound Todays Achievement

Today i have learnt how to use the 7D canon camera. I have decided, i am going to use a mixer, and plug it in with the canon. If we do that then we are able to use multiple mics, and control them. I have also achieved, using the camera, practising videoing, while Jordan wasnt there. I have noticed there are different types you can record on the camera. There formats like 1080p, 720p, 480p. We obviously want the best quality and shoot 1080p.

7D camera Kieran Dillon

Today I had first-hand experience when using the 7D we realised that there are many different options to choose. Also the camera is easy to use and is not very heavy either, we have to use a sound mixer as well to record as the 7D only has one output/input.

The camera quality is very good and has 1080p and has HD and many different options to choose from which I aim to become familiar with over the weeks

Genius in progress

Today we imbarked upon the wonderes journey of rehersal. After completing the initial run through i almost felt overwhelmed with the way out film had grown from a tiny little bean into a giant beanstalk, its not only jack that wants to climb this beanstalk. My confidence toward this project has developed into a growing passion. The pending work we have to do on swindle will be completed at its healthy pace.

Director: Vedant Majithia

Emmanuel

Today we rehearsed the lines for the film so we get a sense of who will be playing who and who is doing what in the film. my personal part in todays lesson was yo decribe my continuity role to add to the snipez folder.

Neil

Today I have tried and tested out the Canon 7D camera and all of its sound capabilities. It only has 1 sound input/output. To record all of the background sound and the dialogue simultaneously, I will need to have a sound mixer present when filming.

However, all of these problems can be avoided if we simply had a HD camera instead of the inferior 7D!

Today's Activities - Hannah

Today we have read through the script with the actors that are acting in it and corrected anything that needed to be corrected such as whether we will film in a chip shop or not.

Rupal Solanki - Assistant Producer

Today we rehearsed our whole script with the actors and it was good as everyone knows there lines and are confident they can do it with more practice over the next couple of weeks. We still need to addd the health and safety, continuity, sound and lighting into the our celtx file. We also need to find out more infomation about filming in a Fish and Chips in Surrey.

Kai sappleton

Today we rehaersed the lines from the script Snipes, at first i found it difficult to use the correct slang and accent the fillm demands but due to practice i overcame the obstical but i still need to get uset to saying the slang in the film .

Yanic

In class we had a script rehearsal to get snipes (Kai) use to his lines. we also clarified the characters for the script. also we came across a problem with the scene about the chip shop. we might not be able to film in there becasue the owners will not allow it. came to the conclusion of filming it in london in stanmore. only if we are not allowed to film in surry

Tuesday march 6 - (swindle designer)

Today i went on celtex and added the wardrobe requirments to each individual scene so we could see what costumes were needed in each scene. we also did a full script run through so that everyone could know the script and there lines properly.
